Above are some very nice relics found by Rocky Falleti. They are wonderful examples of Ohio types and materials. Various cultural stages are represented in this photo.
Here is a grit tempered Hopewell pottery head recently acquired from a 78 year
old woman who got it from a workman digging a drainage ditch in Mahonig Co.
Ohio. She had it since 1963 and it is now in the collection of Rocky Falleti. There is an article about this artifact in the current issue of Ohio Archaeologist.
Most of these pieces were found along the Delaware River in New Jersey. These fine artifacts were found by R.B. Reitz during the 60's. Although the material is different, the types are styles encountered in Ohio.
These points were found by Randy Burnham in Mexico.
This birdstone preform was found by John Bennet of Hardin County Ohio. This is a nice artifact that shows different stages of slate manufacture,pecking, grinding and polishing.
